Treatment of rats with glucagon, vasointestinal peptide or secretin has a different effect on bilirubin and p-nitrophenol UDP-glucuronyltransferase

The aim of the present study was to investigate whether vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) also has an effect on glucuronidation and whether glucagon and VIP, both belonging to the secretin family of polypeptides, have a specificity for the acceptor substrate used.
