Double ventricular parasystole with modulation and intermittency

Double parasystole is a rare arrhythmia. It is the expression of 2 parasystolic foci that are independent of each other. 1,2 We present a case report of double ventricular parasystole where both foci were deeply affected by extraneous impulses. One focus was subject to electronic influence—a reflection of modulation 3—and the other was occasionally reset from the dominant rhythm—a reflection of intermittency 4. This disturbs the regularity of both ectopic rhythms.
