Zusammenfassung: | Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) of the oral cavity frequently occurs in patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This report describes a lesion presenting as delayed healing of an extraction wound with hyperaemic swollen gingivae and ulceration in an apparently healthy 34-year-old Thai fisherman. The lesion was the first evidence of his HIV-positivity. It is, therefore, imperative that clinicians should consider a diagnosis of HIV infection in cases of non-healing extraction wounds in patients in high risk categories |
