Zusammenfassung:Summary Bupivacaine. 0.25% encapsulated by multilamellar liposomes was administered epidurally to a patient suffering pain associated with lung cancer and the effect compared with a plain bupivacaine solution of the same concentration. Complete analgesia was produced for 4 h with the plain solution and 11 h with the liposomal formulation. No motor blockade or haemodynamic instability was observed with the liposome‐associated bupivacaine.
