Zusammenfassung: | 13 burn patients who had been treated for inhalation injuries (9), respiratory failure (3) or fractured ribs (1) were followed up after an average period of five years. Tracheal stenosis was found in five patients, increased pulmonary resistance in six patients. Even in patients who had sustained inhalation traumas there was only a minimal impairment of pulmonary function and physical work capacity. |
