A CASE OF HUMAN RABIES IN WESTERN CANADA

Rabies in humans is relatively rare in Canada. On the other hand, rabies in wildlife and domestic animals is widespread across much of this country. Rabies infection in insectivorous bats is found across Canada. The authors report here a case of human rabies acquired following exposure to a bat.
