Method of mapping: (i) Rat/mouse somatic cell hybrid paned; (ii) Analysis of 184 informative meioses in an F sub(2) intercross from SHRSP x SHR. Database deposit information: GenBank accession number U28933. Molecular reagents: A DNA probe specific for rat Nos3 gene was produced by homology PCR of rat genomic DNA, with primers complementary to exon 6 of the human Nos3 gene HUENOS-5.
