| Zusammenfassung: | A 25-year old female patient, with peripartum cardiomyopathy was submitted to heart transplantation and became pregnant two years after. Pregnancy was uneventful and a baby-girl was born completely healthy. Six years after pregnancy, the mother remains well with preserved ventricular function and the girl has had a normal development. Although considered a high-risk situation and not indicated, pregnancy after heart transplantation is possible, without any apparent deterioration of the transplanted graft and with healthy babies being delivered. |
