Zusammenfassung:Two patients presented with benign cystic schwannomas, which originated from the brachial plexus and the sciatic nerve, respectively. The tumours were single, egg-shaped growths that were excised completely without damage to the nerve. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of encapsulated, cystic, benign schwannomas. Preoperative magnetic resonance imaging provided useful information and is recommended in the evaluation of peripheral nerve tumours.
