Zusammenfassung:The single rat selenocysteine tRNA ( tRNA[ Ser]Sec ) locus, including flanking sequence, was isolated by molecular cloning and its nucleotide (nt) sequence determined. In addition to the identification of likely regulatory elements 5′ of this gene, this analysis also revealed a novel 3′ repeat element consisting of three and a half repetitions of a 34-nt unit.
