Zusammenfassung:A partially purified bovine brain extract specifically interferes with clonidine at such receptors and more particularly, within the brainstem, with a subpopulation which proved insensitive to noradrenaline. This extract, which is not a catecholamine, was called "clonidine displacing substance" (CDS). Specific antibodies to clonidine were obtained.
