Zusammenfassung:Human ehrlichiosis was first reported in 1986 by Maeda and colleagues. Since then, several hundred cases of human ehrlichiosis have been reported, but only one case has been reported in a patient with AIDS and no cases have been reported in immunosuppressed patients without AIDS. This case emphasizes the importance of considering ehrlichiosis in transplant patients in the appropriate clinical and epidemiological setting.
