Zusammenfassung:Spontaneous flight activity of Aedes trivittatus (Coquillett) infected with trivittatus (TVT) virus was evaluated by using an acoustic activity chamber system on days 11 through 17 postinfection. Peak flight activity occurred at the beginning of the photophase, with a second activity period at the beginning of the scotophase. Circadian activity pattern and spontaneous flight activity of TVT-virus-infected mosquitoes were almost identical to those of uninfected controls, indicating that this virus has little influence of flight behavior of its natural arthropod host.
