Zusammenfassung:In conclusion, our study is the first to document the cardiovascular safety of maximal strength testing in a large adult population. The findings suggest that maximal strength testing is a safe procedure. However, further data are needed to confirm our observations in persons who do not undergo a comprehensive medical screening procedure prior to testing and patients at a higher risk for exercise-induced adverse cardiovascular events.
