Zusammenfassung:We report the case of a 19-year-old man harboring a pineal region dermoid, of which only eight other cases have been reported. A diagnosis was made with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which showed a marked high signal intensity on both T-1 and T-2 weighted images that is consistent with the lipid character of the lesion. Residual tumor could be seen on postoperative MR images. MRI is an accurate, noninvasive modality for the diagnosis and follow-up evaluation of these tumors.
