Zusammenfassung: | The endemic nature of HFRS in Hubei allowed the authors to collect adequate numbers of cases at one site. They embarked on a joint Sino-American effort to test the effect of interferon on HFRS in a controlled clinical trial during the winters of HFRS in a controlled clinical trial during the winters of 1984-1985 and 1985-1986. The American side was represented by physician investigators from the University of Pittsburgh and the University of North Carolina, and the Chinese side was represented by the Hubei Medical College, its Second Attached Hospital in Wuhan (Hubei), and an affiliated county hospital in Zhong Xiang (Hubei). |
