Zusammenfassung: | Testicular scanning is currently used in differentiating testicular torsion from epididymo-orchitis. This 14-yearold male presented with acute onset of scrotal swelling and a tender, swollen right testicle. The testicular scan using Tc-99m pertechnetate suggested torsion of the right testicle. Surgery revealed an indirect hernia, a strangulated omentum and a hematocele in the scrotal sac anterior to the normal right testicle. |
