Zusammenfassung:	A case is presented of a patient with pre-existing torsade de pointes who developed reflex sympathetic dystrophy. A trial of stellate ganglion blocks with ECG monitoring was instituted and the patient obtained relief. The pathophysiology of torsade de pointes is discussed with emphasis on the role of the stellate ganglion. Recommendations for management of similar patients are made.
