Palliative Care and Public Health, a Perspective from Nigeria

In 1996 a few Nigerians began to advocate palliative care, including opioids to manage pain. Two organizations emerged from that work, and members from several tertiary institutions are now promoting curriculum review and inclusion of multidisciplinary pain management in undergraduate training.
