Zusammenfassung:ABSTRACT Two cases with chronic bony defects, one post-traumatic and the other after bone tumor excision, were reconstructed with free bone transfers, using only microarterial anastomoses. The survival of these transfers, despite the absence of microvenous anastomoses, may indicate that venous drainage can develop through well-coapted bone marrow.
