Zusammenfassung: | A questionnaire survey of 706 adults (639 women, 67 men) who attended an extension-related meeting assessed whether differences existed in beliefs about heart disease risk factors between women and men. The survey determined that men were more likely than women to report a lack of belief about several major dietary and life-style factors recommended to the public for heart disease prevention, suggesting that nutrition and health campaigns directed toward men are needed. The survey results for 7 belief statements are summarized and discussed.(wz) |
