Zusammenfassung: | Materials and a technique that may be used to apply gingival color to an Al--Mg alloy, Alcoa D-214, when it is used as a denture base are described. The dyes used to color anodized films are Solatine Pink, Nuclear Fast Red, and Erythrosine at 0.5-2.5% by weight. After extensive cleaning of the denture base and anodizing for 30 min at 10 V d.c., the denture base is immersed in the dye solution, the solution boiled for 15 min and the base removed from the dye solution, cooled and rinsed.
