Zusammenfassung:	2-Acetylthio-3-(4-substituted phenoxybenzoyl)propionic acids and various other ω-(4-phenoxybenzoyl)alkanoic acid derivatives were prepared, and tested for hypolipidemic activity in normal rats. Some of these compounds were active. 2-Acetylthio-3-(4-phenoxybenzoyl)propionic acid derivatives seemed to have the most potent hypocholesterolemic activities, and halogen substitution on the phenoxy group increased the activity.
