Whither cancer centres?

If they are to survive, cancer centers should fulfill the unique role of supporting and coordinating resources, research and evaluation on a regional basis across the cancer spectrum. The next generation of these centers needs to deliver prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and palliation in fact.
