Zusammenfassung:We investigated whether impaired Kupffer cell phagocytosis in fulminant hepatic failure could be due to reduced synthesis of hepatocyte-growth-factor-like/macrophage-stimulating protein (HGFL/MSP), a serum protein synthesised predominantly in hepatocytes and required by tissue macrophages for phagocytosis.
