Zusammenfassung:Corrective diaphyseal osteotomies for pagetic deformities may require a long time for union. However, metaphyseal osteotomies healed uneventfully. The use of plate fixation was associated with a lower rate of complications in diaphyseal osteotomies in Paget's disease. External fixation was associated with the highest rate of complications. Medical treatment did not seem to minimize blood loss or expedite union rate or time to union.
