Zusammenfassung:The inhibitory effects of newly synthesized 4-alkoxyaryl β-D-glucopyranosides on histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells induced by concanavalin A were examined. A plot of hydrophobicity (k') against inhibitory activity of the compounds showed a distinct maximum, and 4-decyloxy-2, 3, 6-trimethylphenyl β-D-glucopyranoside was the most potent inhibitor among the tested compounds.
