Zusammenfassung:Extrarenal malacoplakia in renal transplant recipients is generally associated with a good prognosis. We report the first case of malacoplakia of the prostate in a renal transplant recipient that was associated with a complicated course despite prophylactic antibiotic therapy and reduction of immunosuppression. Malacoplakia in a renal transplant recipient is not always benign.
