Intrathoracic Splenosis Mimicking Metastatic Lung Cancer

A case of posttraumatic intrathoracic splenosis mimicking lung cancer is presented. The diagnosis was made by a radiocolloid liver–spleen study followed by a heat-damaged Tc-99m labeled red cell scan. A favorable change in the staging of the patientʼs real contralateral lung cancer resulted.
