Zusammenfassung:Protecting health care personnel who are working in radiological procedures is a responsible safety measure to prevent radiation exposure. Lead aprons, gloves, and goggles should be worn if personnel are in the direct area where radiation may scatter. Furthermore, personnel should wear a thyroid shield and leaded glasses during procedures, such as angioplasties, in which longer exposure times are expected.
