Creative Strategies for Teaching Disaster Preparedness Concepts Sociodrama uses physical movement, props, lighting, and sound in the classroom to encourage exploration of individual and collective nursing roles (McLaughlin, Freed, & Tadych, 2006). Using this strategy, students can engage in critical thinking when presented with a scenario.
