Zusammenfassung:The lack of health care training for managing catastrophic outcomes of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) became paramount as the nation began pulling together to provide education for health care providers. Faculty in the School of Nursing took the leadership role in organizing an interdisciplinary committee composed of professionals from medicine, surgery, allied health, dentistry, and hospital administration, and community leaders within the State Health Department and Emergency Management.
