Zusammenfassung:Healthcare providers are still prescribing angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors to the elderly at lower than recommended dosages despite its well known benefits, including alleviating symptoms, improving clinical status, and significantly decreasing the risk of disease progression and death in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). The under-prescription of ACE inhibitors to patients with advanced age with CHF is investigated.
