Greater Sensitivity of Human Multidrug-Resistant (mdr) Cancer Cells to Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids Than Their Non-mdr Counterparts

A study found that multidrug-resistant cells are more sensitive than nontumorigenic cells to ethyl gamma-linolenate (GLA) and methyl eicosapentaenoiate (EPA). Results suggest that EPA and GLA treatment offers an alternative for patients with resistance to anticancer drugs.
