description The purpose of this study was to compare 2 associate degree nursing schools in terms of the level of caring reported by students during their informal interactions with peers. At one of these schools, students are given an opportunity to participate in a group experience that is designed to promote caring skills. Students enrolled at the school that offers a group experience in caring described their peer interactions as more caring than did students enrolled at the school that does not offer a group experience in caring.
