Harold E. Harrison

Harold E. Harrison's accomplishments encompass almost every aspect of pediatrics. His research interests place him in the line of those pediatricians who largely created our understanding of body fluids and mineral metabolism—in his case, calcium and phosphorus especially. As noted earlier in this series, concepts first conceived by Gamble and Darrow and built on by Harrison and others have advanced all of physiology and medicine.
