Zusammenfassung:In the study of the therapeutic process, much attention has been given to the inevitable emotional connections between therapist and patient. Little thought has been given, however, to the force of the interaction between the values of the therapist and the family around the issues they are addressing. This paper focuses on the influence of values in therapy and on how the therapist can consciously work with the interaction of his values with those of the family for the benefit of the family he is treating.
