Zusammenfassung: | Phytohemagglutinin-stimulated normal human leukocyte cultures were exposed to varying concentrations of Busulfan at the initiation of the cultures or after 24 h incubation. In both instances, chromosome abnormalities and reduced mitotic indices were observed in concentrations ranging from 1.0 to 20.0 μg/ml. The effects appeared proportionate to the drug concentration. Although the principal reactive site of Busulfan may be the nucleic acids, the significance of this drug's interference with other cellular processes cannot be excluded. |
