Age incidence of antibodies to normal human epidermis

SUMMARY Antibodies reactive with various layers of normal human epidermis can be detected in a high percentage of sera from normal adults. Stimulation to produce these antibodies occurs at a very early age, with some suggestion that in utero stimulation may occur in a small number of cases.
