Detection of Metastatic Liver Disease with Tc-99m MAA During a Thromboscintigram/Lung Scan

Metastatic lesions in the liver may be detected with Tc-99m MAA when performing a thromboscintigram/lung scan. This case demonstrates the need to perform hepatic images in patients with venous thrombosis who are suspected of having associated malignant disease.
