Zusammenfassung:	Extract: Anthropometric data from a study of 88 cancer outpatients are used to illuminate validity and utility issues relating to the use of anthropometrics. Correlations between percentage of ideal weight, weight change, arm muscle area, and arm fat area tend to be moderately positive in both men and women, yet muscle and fat estimates supplement weight data and provide distinct information. Utility of anthropometric measures may be enhanced through increased understanding of the measurement characteristics of anthropometrics. (Author)
