Zusammenfassung:Presented is an unusual case of congenital atresia of the lower vagina with regular menses through a fistulous tract. Diagnostic ultrasound was very helpful in defining the problem and aiding in the determination of a therapeutic plan. Distention of the blind vaginal pouch with fluid greatly facilitated a surgical solution to the problem and has applicability to other forms of vaginal atresia.
