Zusammenfassung:The rat has been used extensively for arrhythmia studies, and a large number of models have been developed, which include chemical, electrical, and pathological procedures for including arrhythmias. Such models have been used to investigate mechanisms for inducing arrhythmias as well as the actions of antiarrhythmic drugs. Arrhythmia models in rats are of particular importance in examination of the antiarrhythmic action of various drugs.
