Lagunamycin, a novel 5-lipoxygenase inhibitor, was isolated from the culture broth of Streptomyces sp. AA0310. This compound showed potent rat 5-lipoxygenase inhibitory activity (IC50 6.08μM) without lipid peroxidation.
