Zusammenfassung: | Microsporidia are rare human opportunistic pathogens that are now increasingly recognised in patients with AIDS, most commonly as an ocular or enteric pathogen. This paper reports a case of microsporidial keratoconjunctivitis in a patient with AIDS which responded to treatment with dibromopropamidine isethionate ointment. The clinical and laboratory features of microsporidial ocular infection are reviewed. |
