Comparative Imaging of Epidural Abscess

This 8-year-old girl presented with left flank pain, fever, and inability normally to extend and flex the back. The radionuclide bone scan was abnormal at the site of the epidural abscess. Computed tomography and MRI studies both showed the specific character and extent of the epidural pathology.
