Zusammenfassung: | Autoantibodies targeting nucleolar autoantigens (ANoA) are most frequently found in sera from patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc, also designated scleroderma) or with SSc overlap syndromes. During the last decade an extensive number of nucleolar components have been identified and this allowed a more detailed analysis of the identity of nucleolar autoantigens. This review intends to give an overview of the molecular composition of the major (families of) autoantigenic nucleolar complexes, to provide some insight into their functions and to summarise the data concerning their autoantigenicity. |
