Zusammenfassung: | To the Editor.—
Two years ago Roland et al reviewed a group of full-term newborns with late-onset thalamic hemorrhage/intraventricular bleeding.1 The pathogenesis of this condition remains unclear but in the series of patients described by Roland et al, we noticed that urinary tract infection was the most common complicating factor. We recently treated a full-term newborn with late-onset unilateral thalamic hemorrhage associated with a urinary tract infection.
The child was born after an uncomplicated pregnancy at 40 weeks of gestation. |
