Zusammenfassung:Ectopic thyroid is a rare developmental anomaly. We describe an unusual case of ectopic thyroid tissue found in the gallbladder wall of a 68-year-old man who underwent cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis. Pathological findings were compatible with ectopic thyroid tissue in the gallbladder wall. This very rare pathology is discussed with a review of the relevant literature.
