Effect of picrate on potassium conductance of neurons in Helix pomatia

1. 1. Neurons of Helix pomatia were exposed to 4 mM Na-picrate. 2. 2. The cells hyperpolarized by 18 mV. 3. 3. Simultaneously, the steady membrane resistance decreased and the steady I–V curve of the cells changed towards increased slope conductance. 4. 4. The hyperpolarization reversed at −84 mV. 5...

Zusammenfassung:1. 5. 5. A picrate induced increase of clamp current at the resting membrane potential could be accounted for through an increased K + conductance.
